Quoting a famous learning researcher, paraphrased: ‘Any and all of the books reviewed can be helpful, all things being equal. Also, all things are never equal.’
In different words, learning music on the guitar always requires learning for oneself how to learn music on the guitar.
This is, I think, less a platitude than it sounds. Learning to express music is dynamic, how you learn changes constantly, from day to day and over a lifetime, and music seems inexhaustible.
